People are saying on the steams forums that it is an 11 month old demo from E3 or something. WRT deathmatch, yea, teamdeathmatch would have been nice.
There is a steam group dedicated to doing TDM with each other though. Basically they just all get a game going and make sure everyone knows to not kill their own race.
Even in a DM server with people agreeing not to kill their same race and faking a TDM game it is LOTS of fun! :D
dunno what to think about avp demo ... different gameplay is the least i can say. Its serious fun though :P, but i think they should have opted for singleplayer demo instead of this braindead deathmatch :p
Has Aliens vs Predator 3 Demo installed, as well as bought Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 2. Hopefully I'll get a chance to play something this weekend.... Moving has settled down for the time being.
lool @ TS3? [Link] >_> I might just suggest to those who want to play around with it in linux that they make sure libstdc++ 6 is updated.. Aside from that everything else is just a runtime switch. The license key error is not important since I am not paying for a higher # of max connections.
*shrug* (and yes, the shame, I am using noobuntu there. The Debian installer was buggering out and hanging during install because it is trash.)
yeah, on a windows machine is a different story. the linux webserver is a bit out of my expertise... I had managed with TS2 easily. But TS3 is still in beta. When I tried to run it, I got error messages that files couldn't be found, etc.
Like i said thou, this is fine & it takes strain off my webserver. At $16/3-months is fine too - I spend more than that going out to lunch by my office, hehehehe
it would not run, got the server installed. But could not run it.... but it's cool 25-player for $16/quarter (3-months) is fine & doesn't strain my webserver.
